World News Network, in collaboration with China Foreign News and China Foreign News Network, reports (Senior Correspondents Lan Yiren, Meng Shirong, Wei Yan) On May 18, 2026, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister of China, presented eight former ambassadors with the "Outstanding Diplomat" medal: Denisov (former Russian Ambassador to China), Hashmi (Ambassador of Pakistan to China), Sisoda (former Ambassador of Cambodia to China), Nuryshev (Ambassador of Kazakhstan to China), Khalbi (Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to China), Harina (former Ambassador of Chad to China), Carvajal (Ambassador of Colombia to China), and Lugris (former Ambassador of Uruguay to China). H.E. Mr. Fernando Lugris, Ambassador of Uruguay to China, is a member of the Ambassador Club of China Foreign News. The Ambassador Club of China Foreign News extended its congratulations to the awardees.

Wang Yi extended warm congratulations to the award-winning ambassadors. He stated that ambassadors serve as bridges and bonds in the friendly exchanges between nations. These outstanding ambassadors are good friends who understand and support China, builders of bilateral relations, pioneers in comprehending China, leaders in fostering people-to-people connectivity, and practitioners of win-win cooperation. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has specially established the "Outstanding Diplomatic Ambassador Medal" to honor ambassadors stationed in China who have made significant contributions to promoting Sino-foreign friendship. He welcomed them to visit China again and reunite with old friends.

王毅说，中国是一个崇尚和平的国度，始终积极为世界和平安宁担当尽责；中国是一个开放包容的国度，张开双臂与世界共享发展机遇；中国是一个重情尚义的国度，在国际风云变幻中践信守诺。希望各位杰出使者继续为促进中外友好贡献力量，中国外交部愿为在任使节履职提供大力支持。

Wang Yi said that China is a country that advocates peace and has always actively taken responsibility for world peace and tranquility; China is an open and inclusive country that opens its arms to share development opportunities with the world; China is a country that values emotions and righteousness, fulfilling its commitments in the changing international situation. I hope that all outstanding envoys will continue to contribute to promoting friendship between China and foreign countries. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs is willing to provide strong support for the incumbent envoys to fulfill their duties.
